Cascade de la Pleureuse is a waterfall south of Sixt Fer a Cheval (Samoens) in the region Rhone Alpes/Haute Savoie, France. From Sixt Fer a Cheval you have to drive south 8 kilometers over road D29 until the road ends.
In the area of Sixt Fer a Cheval there are several great waterfalls to visit. The two most popular ones are the waterfalls at Le Fer a Cheval and Cascade du Rouget. But a little bit further down the road at Cascade du Rouget you will find another great waterfall Cascade de la Pleureuse.
Actually it isn’t one waterfall, next to to Cascade de la Pleureuse you will find its twin brother Cascade de la Sauffaz. The two waterfalls next to each other is a certainty for a good picture.
Although both of the waterfalls aren’t very high, they are certainly very beautiful and a visit worthwhile. From the parking at the end of the road (short after cascade du Rouget) it is an easy walk to Cascade de la Pleureuse and Cascade de la Sauffaz. The walk takes about 25 minutes (1,3 kilometers).
