Valbois, Cascade de

Cascade de Valbois is a waterfall with a single drop of 40 meters near the village of Chassagne Saint Denis in the region Franche Comte/Doubs, France.

From Besancon take the D67 south to Ornans and then to Scey en Varais.

Southeast of Scey en Varais a trail starts heading into the reserve naturelle du ravin de Valbois. It takes over 1 hour (>4 kilometer) before you reach the base of Cascade de Valbois. The walk takes you through a forrest along the river Valbois, on both side steep cliffs.

It is also possible to see Cascade de Valbois from the top of the cliffs. The trail starts south of Chassagne Saint Denis and takes 15-20 minutes.
