Vajanského vodopád is one of the highest waterfalls in Slovakia and is remote located in one of the most beautiful parts of the Tatry mountains.

There are several options to start this long walk to Vajanského vodopád. If you start from the parking Tri studničky (west of Štrbske Pleso) the walk takes about 2,5-3 hour. Almost all the way you walk along the river Koprovský potok (valley Koprovský dolina).

On the way you also walk by another waterfall Kmeťov vodopád, an 80 meter high waterfall at the right side of the valley after 2 hours. After 30-40 minutes you reach the first viewpoint on Vajanského vodopád.

Vajanského vodopád is a two tiered waterfall with a total height of around an 100 meter. The lower part, know as the Vajanského vodopád is appr 30 meter high.

Vajanského vodopád is fed by a lake at the top of the waterfall called Nižné Temnosmrečinské pleso.
