Cascades des Sept Laux

Cascades des Sept Laux is a series of waterfalls north of Vaujany 9not far from Grenoble), along road D526, in the region Alps/Isere, France.

When driving from Allemond to Le Rivier d’Allemont and further following the D526 you will see cascades des Sept Laux, at a certain moment, at the left side of the road. Quite a tall waterfall you can’t miss.

There is no parking but there is a small pocket in the road just before cascades des Sept Laux. It is also possible to take a small gravel road (at gps 45.210958, 6.055477) that goes to the base of the waterfall. I think the view from the main road is more impressive.

The river Ruisseau des Sept Laux cascades down over several hundred meters but only the last two drops can be called a real waterfall, both of appr. 15 meters.

Later in summertime the river almost runs dry. Best time to visit the waterfalls is springtime or early summer.
