Pistyll Cain

Pistyll Cain is a nice waterfall with  height of 20 meter in the river Afon Gain located in the Coed y Brenin forest (Snowdonia), which means forest of the kings.

From the Tyddyn Gwladys car park in Ganllwyd (at road A470) a beautiful trail starts. The trail is part of the Goldmines trail and follows the river Afon Mawddach until you reach the waterfall Pistyll Cain after appr 60 minutes (4,5 kilometer).

Here the river Afon Gain tumbles down over a rock cliff in a gorgeous surrounding.

Pistyll Cain is located near another waterfall called Rhaeadr Mawddach. Pistyll is Welsh word for waterfall.
