Cascade d’Arcouzan
Cascade d’Arcouzan is a beautiful waterfall near Seix in the French Pyrenees. From Seix, driving on the D3, turn right at Couflens de Betmajou towards Estours. At the end of the road you have to park your car (somewhere near gps 42.828719, 1.163431).
From the car parking it is appr. a 60 minute walk (3 kilometers) to cascade d’Arcouzan. First you pass another waterfall called cascade de Bibet (left side of the valley) but when you arrive at the river Ruisseau d’Arcouzan you will have a good view in the distance on cascade d’Arcouzan.
Cascade d’Arcouzan drops down over 4 stages, with a height of appr 100 meters, and is fed by several small lakes at col du Cruzous (2.341 m).
The waterfall of Cascade d’Arcouzan is at its best in springtime/early summer when snow melts fast and there is still enough snow in the mountains.
