Imofossen
(Imogorzi)
Imofossen (also called Imogorzi) is a gorgeous waterfall in the north of Norway, near the border with Finland. The waterfall is located at the end of the Reisadalen in the region Troms.
From Storslett (road E6) take the exit to the Reisadalen. Follow the road for 46 kilometer until you end in Saraelv.
In summertime there are regular riverboat trips, taking you to the base of Mollisfossen but there is also a boat safari to Imofossen. On the website of saraelv.no you will find more information but a trip costs NOK 1.950 and takes about 7 hour (minimum of 3 persons) for the boat trip and hike.
Imofossen is not very high, 20 meter, but two rivers plunge over the edge of a granite wall. Gorgeous to see and a certainty for beautiful pictures.
If you like fishing; the Reisaelva is famous because of the big salmon swimming in the river.
On the boat trip to Imofossen you pass several nice waterfalls but the most impressive ones are Dissaltakfossen and a little further Mollisfossen (halfway).
