Rastenbachklamm wasserfall

The Rastenbachklamm wasserfall is a 30 meter high waterfall in a scenic gorge near the Kalterersee (Lago di Caldero).

The Rastenbach wasserfall is located west of the lake and Sankt Josef am See (Kalterersee), not far from Bolzano in the region Trentino – Alto Adige, Italy.

Near the lakeside in Sankt Josef am See there is a parking (gps 46.384923, 11.256936) from which a trail starts into the Rastenbachklamm. In 10-20 minutes you will reach the Rastenbach wasserfall in the river Rastenbach.

Another option is to start from a parking (gps 46.380243, 11.238140) called parkplatz Müllereck, near Altenburg which lies up the mountain from the Rastenbach wasserfall. From the parking you start descending through the gorge.

You can make a roundtrip from parkplatz Müllereck, through the gorge, which takes appr. 1,5 hours (3,8 km / alt difference 255 meter). The trail is signed.

With a single drop of appr. 30 meters the Rastenbach wasserfall is quite impressive to see. The views along the trail are amazingand the scenery is gorgeous.
