Cascade de la Froide Pisse
(Cascade de la Grande Pisse)
Cascade de la Froide Pisse is one the waterfalls in Vallee de Veneon southeast of Grenoble in the region Isere, France.
Coming from Grenoble, take the exit, after Le Bourg-d’Oisans, to Venosc into Vallee de Veneon (D530). After the small hamlet La Ville the Cascade de la Froide Pisse shoes up at the right side of the road.
I am not sure how high the waterfall is, but I think appr 240 meters, which makes this one of the higher waterfalls in France.
Cascade de la Froide Pisse can be a very impressive waterfall when the river La grande Pisse is fed with enough melted snow. Then Cascade de la Froide Pisse thunders down with a great force over 240 meters before it ends in the Veneon. A assure you that it is more impressive then my pictures.
Vallee de Veneon is one of the better valleys for waterfall hunting. There are dozens of rapids, small and big waterfalls. One of the biggest, in height, is the Cascade de la Froide Pisse. Only the name made me curious, but the visit to this valley was one of the revelations of our holiday in France.
