Pirknerbach wasserfall

(Pirkacher Wasserfall, Pirkner klamm, Regenbogenfall)

The Pirknerbach wasserfall (also called Pirkacher Wasserfall, Pirkner klamm or Regenbogenfall) is a waterfall in gorge named Pirknerklamm, northwest of Oberdrauburg/Drautal in the region Kärnten, Austria.

From road E66 in Oberdrauburg you have to follow the signs Flaschberg/Unterpirkach. Just outside Unterpirkach you have to park the car and walk up to the Klettersteig of the Pirknerklamm.

The Pirknerbach wasserfall is an unofficial named waterfall in the gorge and cascades down over 240 meters. Part of the cascade can be called the Pirknerbach wasserfall. I think the highest drop is over 40 meters high.

The Pirknerbach wasserfall cascades down to the east and can best be visited in the morning. The best season to visit the Pirknerbach wasserfall is the early summer until summertime.
