Cascada de Arripas is a gorgeous waterfall in Parque Nacional de Ordesa.Cascada de Arripas is one of the waterfall in the river Rio Arazas and is special because of its shape, the environment and its rock formations.
Cascada de Arripas is located near Torla, in Parque Nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido, in the region Aragon-Huesca, Spain.
From Biescas drive to Torla over road N260a, take the turn to Torla and Parque Nacional de Ordesa. There is the entry of the park where it is possible to make several hikes. We choose the easy one, along the river Arazas, to the end of the valley where you walk along Cascada del Estrecho. Actually it are two/three waterfall directly after each other which makes this waterfall one of my favorites. Just see the pictures to judge it yourself.
From the park entry near Torla is a 2 hour walk to Cascada de Arripas. On the trail to the magnificent Cascada Cola de Caballo you will pass by several waterfalls that are even more beautiful then Cascada Cola de Caballo: Casada del Estrecho, Cascada de Cotatuero (from a distance), Gradas de Soasa, Cascada de Arripas and several other small or unnamed falls.
I really can say this is one of the best hikes I’d ever take with beautiful sceneries and wildlife. So don’t miss it.
