Migandefossen

When driving to the north, over road 5, you will pass by the  Fjærlandsfjord.  Fjærland is a little town with a nice glacier museum: the Norsk Bremuseum. Not so big but very informative. Fjærland is part of the Sogndal in the region Sogn og Fjordane.

When driving on the west side of the  Fjærlandsfjord, on road  152, you will notice the  Migandefossen on the other side of the fjord. Melting water plunges down over a height of 600 meters. The Migandefossen is fed by several lakes and melting water of the Frudalsbreen on an altitude of 1598 meters.

There are several other waterfalls in the Fjærlandsfjord like the Svartefoss, Kyrafossen, Distadfossen and many unnamed waterfalls. In the summer season it is possible to visit the narrow Fjærlandsfjord with its steep and forested mountainsides, by boat.
