Almenbachfall

(Almenbachfälle)

Almenbachfall is an unknown and also an unofficial named waterfall in Kandersteg, Berner Oberland, Switzerland.

Melted snow from the Bunderspitz feeds the Allmegratbach which plunged down over a cliff, not far from the luftseilbahn in Kandersteg. The Almenbachfall is at least 120 meter high and early in the season is the best time to visit this nice waterfall.

From Kandersteg centre you can drive to the luftseilbahn (cable) and you will see the Almenbachfall at your right hand side.

there are several other waterfalls of great beauty to be found in and around Kandersteg. My favorite one is the Geltenbachfall, a very special one because the source of the waterfall lies deep in a mountain.
