Asbjørnsåefossen

(Asbjørnsfossen, Kohlerfossen)

Asbjørnsåefossen is actually a gorgeous waterfall with name but it is located in the river Asbjørnsåe, so that is why I named it Asbjørnsåefossen. The waterfall is located at the hamlet Brøst not far from road E136 at Bjorli and the Stuguflåtbrua.

From road E136 you can take a small road near Bjorli that goed to the Sagelva powerplant (Brøstvegen). After 2.7 kilometer there is a small parking (gps 62.271398, 8.104830), popular by campers. Just walk southeast to the river for a fantastic view on Asbjørnsåefossen in a gorgeous surrounding.

There are so many unknown waterfalls that need to be explored in the Romsdalen. This is certainly a hidden gem!
