Cascade du Déroc is a beautiful waterfall south of Nasbinal, near Montgrousset in Languedoc Roussillon/Lozere, France.
From Nasbinals go south to Montgrousset over road D52. In Montgrousset go right proceeding on the D52 until there is a parking after 600 meters. From the parking there is a small path (behind the house) that runs to the top of Cascade du Déroc (600 meter).
Best spot to see the waterfall is from aside (at the top) after a rainy period. It is also possible to walk further to the base of Cascade du Déroc in 5 minutes. Here you have a view just in front of this impressive waterfall.
Although Cascade du Déroc only drops down over 30 meters (in a single drop) it is a quit impressive waterfall after a rainy period.
Cascade du Déroc is fed by rainwater from Lac de Salhiens that rushes down from a basalt cliff. The waterfall lies at a small cave whose ceiling is made of basalt prisms.
