Flugandefossen
Flugandefossen is the first official named waterfall you see at the left side in the Aurlandsfjorden, near Flåm in Sogn og Fjordane, Norway.
Although Flugandefossen is the second waterfall you see on the left hand side when taking the ferry from Flåm to Gudvangen, this waterfall is official named. Not without a reason, the waterfall is very scenic and it drops directly in the Aurlandsfjorden. With a total height of appr 100 meter it is also a high waterfall.
The source of the river Flugandegrovi lies high in the mountain at the Flenjahornet (1.375 m). Early in the season there is a lot of snow melting and in summertime it rains enough to keep feeding the Flugandefossen. A nice and photogenic waterfall.
