Cascade de la Pisse (Mizoen)
(Hameau des Clots)
Cascade de la Pisse (in Mizoen) is a common name for waterfalls in France and Switzerland, it means means something like waterfall with a small stream. Cascade de la Pisse is located along road D1091, east of Le Freney-d’Oisans (70 km from Grenoble) in the region Hautes-Alpes, France.
Cascade de la Pisse near Mizoen is a tall waterfall with a total height of 270 meters and is often used for climbing (Via Ferrata). Upstream there is another nice waterfall with the same height but it is not named. The upper falls can be reached via the small hamlet Les Clots (only by foot).
Cascade de la Pisse is clearly visible from the roadside ( D1091) 7 km east of Le Freney-d’Oisans. At the end of the lake you will see cascade de la Pisse at the left. There is a parking from where a path leads to the base of the waterfall. It is a short walk but there is a descent of 250 m, at the end quite steep. I think a walk will take 20-30 minutes to the viewpoint at the base of Cascade de la Pisse.
