Trollfoss is a magnificent waterfall in the river Dalelva, in the region Vestfold, Norway. There aren’t so many waterfalls in Vestfold but the Trollfoss is the jackpot. With great power tries the river Dalelva to squeezes itself through a narrow canyon creating a 12 meter single drop.
There are more waterfalls in the river Daleva but these are difficult to reach. To reach Trollfoss: drive south from Svarstad over road 40 to Styrvoll. Near Styrvoll there is a white sign along the road “Trollfoss” or Svartangen, go right here (and directly left), onto a dustroad called Solskarveien. This is a toll road where you have to pay a small fee. Follow the dust road for appr. 15 minutes until you reach a small parking at a junction near a bridge.
From here you have to walk to the left until you see a sign Trollfoss (after 5-10 minutes) to the right. I think you have to follow the riverbed from here through the water!
The river Dalelva falls towards the south, so the approach is from the south of the Trollfoss.
