Cascade du Heidenbad

Cascade du Heidenbad is a quite unknown waterfall but worthwhile to see if you are nearby. The waterfall is located near Wildenstein along road D318 in the region Haut-Rhin, France.

From Gerardmer is a short drive to Wildenstein en just before Wildenstein there is a parking along road D318 (gps 47.984921, 6.965169). There is a sign for Cascade du Heidenbad, so you can’t miss it. From the parking go right at the water bassin and the directly left onto a path that leads directly to Cascade du Heidenbad. It is an easy and short walk (5 minutes) to the 8 meter high waterfall. Most of the time it is a dual fall, nice to see.

A little further down road D318 there is another nice, even more beautiful, waterfall: Cascades du Bockloch. This waterfall is also very easy to reach and is also quite photogenic.
