Flitzer wasserfall

Flitzer wasserfall is a nice scenic waterfall near Valuzza (southwest of St Pietro) in the region Trentino – Alto Adige (Südtirol), Italy.

Driving north from Bolzano on highway A22 you have to take the exit “Klausen-Groden”. At the ned of the exit (at the roundabout) follow Grudon and drive further on road SP163 in the direction of San Pietro. Just before San Pietro there is a road going right to “Flitz-Valuzza”. A narrow road leads you closer to the Flitzer wasserfall.

Before there is a sharp turn in the road (gps 46.631024, 11.661693) a footpath (nr 31) leads into the woods directly to the Flitzer wasserfall. I am not sure whether you can park the car close to the footpath. But from the roadside it is a 700 meter walk to the viewpoint on the Flitzer wasserfall.

It is also possible to do a nice roundtrip from the main road at Pizack/San Pietro (6 km), more information about the hike can be found on Bergfex.

The Flitzer wasserfall is appr 45 meter high and is being fed by water from a natural source “Flitzer wasser”. From the bottom of the waterfall you have a tremendous view, good pictures guaranteed.
The Flitzer bach falls towards the north and a you can visit the Flitzer wasserfall all day. Best season to visit the waterfall is probably late springtime.
