The first waterfall you meet when taking the ferry from Flåm to Gudvangen is on the left side, an unknown and unnamed waterfall that I named Frondølafossen.
Frondølafossen is a very scenic waterfall that also is visible from the roadside near Aurlandsvangen. I am not sure if the waterfall flows most time of the year. But from spring to the early summer and after rainfall it must be visible. I was in the Aurlandfjorden July 2016.
The Frondølafossen drops down over appr 75 meter but keeps cascading until it flows into the Aurlandsfjorden. A pretty good start of the boat tour we took. Best is to take the fjord1 ferry boat called Båtane. It is cheap, you have a good view and the personal is very polite.
