Irarfoss
(Írárfoss)
The Írárfoss (Irish River Falls) is a beautiful waterfall in southern Iceland. The river Írá has its source in the Eyjafjallajökull glacier, and flows into the Eyjafjalladjúp (Island Mountain Deep). About 10 kilometers to the west you can find the more famous Seljalandsfoss.
The river Írár has 3 big waterfalls and a few small ones. The first one is the Írárfoss near the mainroad and direcly along road 246.
I took pictures of this waterfall on my first trip to Iceland. I now have a name to put with the pictures. Thank you!
If you want you can share the picture on my website:) All other pictures of waterfalls (in Europe) are welcome.
