Cascade de Glandieu is a gorgeous waterfall and one of the few waterfalls that is more gorgeous when there isn’t very much water in the riverflow, but enough to see it is a great waterfall.
Cascade de Glandieu is composed of two successive falls with a total of 60 meters in height. What makes Cascade de Glandieu special is the shape and the with moss covered rocks where the water slides down.
It looks like a great spot for a shower, but unfortunately it is prohibited to swim at the waterfall. Lac du Bourget isn’t far away, so a good swim is possible over there.
Cascade de Glandieu can be found in the small village of Glandieu. From the A43 (Chambery-Lyon) take the exit St Genix sur Guiers. From there take the D40>D592 and turn left at La Bruyere (D19) until you reach Glandieu. From Glandieu it is a few minute walk to the base of the beautiful Cascade de Glandieu.
