Pistyll-y-Llyn

Pistyll-y-Llyn is one of the highest waterfalls in Wales, but from a distance not very spectacular. The river Llyfnant plunges down from Llyn Penrhaeadr over 160 metres (two major stages). The tallest single drop is 91 meters.

Pistyll-y-Llyn is located south east of Machynlleth in Wales (United Kingdom). Drive south over road A487 towards Aberystwyth until you reach the junction (small road) signposted as Glaspwll. Drive on until there is a sign for “no cars allowed”. On the way you already can see Pistyll-y-Llyn from a distance.

Park the car somewhere at the road. From Glaspwll there is a trail going southeast/south towards the waterfall that can be reached in 40-60 minutes (5-6 kilometers). But before you already have a good view on Pistyll-y-Llyn waterfall.
