Amselfall
The Amselfall is a 10 meter high waterfall near Rathewalde-Hohnstein in the region Sachsen, Germany. The Amselfall is near the Amselsee, a lake being fed by the river Amselgrundbach that ends in one of the larger rivers in Germany, the Elbe.
The Amselfall is a little bit a peculiar waterfall that only flows if you pay a small fee. It is only possible to visit the Amselfall from april until october.
From Dresden drive southeast to Heidenau where you have to cross the river Elbe (S177) and the drive on to Lohmen and Rathewalde. In Rathewalde there is a parking behind the church from where the trail starts to the Amselfall. It will take appr 10 minutes (1 kilometer) before you reach the Amselfall.
