Beljandi
Beljandi is small but pleasant waterfall near the farm Brukkuborg, west of Breiðdalsvik in the region Austurland, Iceland.
When driving on road 1 from Djúpivogur to Breiðdalsvik you will see an exit to Suðyrbuggð (road 664), take the exit. After 4.3 kilometer there is a dust road to the road leading you to the river Breiðdalsá where Beljandi is located. There is no trail, but the waterfall can’t be very hard to be found.
Belajndi is a wide but not very high waterfall in the river Breiðdalsá. The height is appr. 4 meter. Breiðdalsá is often used for fishing Salmon. Near the waterfall there is even a lodge named after the fishing.
The surrounding is very beautiful and perfect for taking photo’s, but on the other hand, almost all of Iceland is very photogenic.
