Budareyrarfoss

(Búðareyrarfoss, Strandartindur Foss, Búðarárfoss)

Búðareyrarfoss is a nice waterfall in the small village Seyðisfjörður in the east of Iceland. Melted water from the Strandartindur (1010m) mountain feeds the river Búðará and cascades down until it ends in the sea at Seyðisfjörður. The lower part had a vertical drop of about 60 meters. Upstream you can find another fall with the same height but is probably unnamed.

From road 1 in the east take road 93 at Fljótsdalshérað towards Seyðisfjörður. In Seyðisfjörður drive further on to the fjord and keep right, then you will see the Búðareyrarfoss.
