Cascada Cachón Del Camaces

Cascada Cachón Del Camaces is one of the many waterfalls around the river Douro, on the border of Spain and Portugal. Cascada Cachón Del Camaces is one of the most powerful waterfalls in this region and is located northeast of Hinojosa de Duero in the region Castilla y León-Salamanca, Spain.

From Salamanca drive west to Vitigudino and Lumbrales (road CL-517). Her you have to take the road to the right, Sa-330, to Puerto de la Molinera and Saucelle. After 13 kilomter you have reached the viewpoint on Cascada Cachón Del Camaces on the left side of the road. You can’t miss it, there is a small parking, a platform and a red sign with Camaces on it.

The river Rio Camaces drops down over 60 meters and can be very powerful, especially early in the year. In summertime the river probably almost runs dry.
