Cascada de Chorrogil
Cascada de Chorrogil is one of the most impressive and one of the biggest waterfall in Spain. Especially after rainfall the waterfall looks very spectacular. The river Arroyo de las Aguascebas del Chorro Gil drops down, in a single drop, over 100 meters before it ends in a lake called Embalse de Aguascebas.
Cascada de Chorrogil is located in Parque Natural Sierras de Cazorla, in the region Andalucia-Jaén, Spain.
Parque Natural Sierras de Cazorla is with its 214,300 hectares the largest protected area in Spain and the second largest in Europe. Parque Natural Sierras de Cazorla has been declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1983, Natural Park since 1986 and a Special Protection Area (SPA) since 1987.
The waterfall Cascada de Chorrogil can be reached via a dust road, just south of the lake. The dust road goes east and within 15-20 minutes you will reach the base of the waterfall Cascada de Chorrogil.
There is a road passing through the national park, but is unnamed.
