Cascada del Campillo

Cascada del Campillo is one of the many waterfalls in and around the river Tajo. Cascada del Campillo is a 40 meter high waterfall that ends in the river Tajo.

Cascada del Campillo is located northeast of Zaorejas in the region Castilla la Mancha-Guadalajara, Spain.

From Zaorejas drive north over road CM-2015. After 5,5 kilometer there is a small dustroad to the left (sharp turn) with a red sign. Go left here but I am not sure if you can drive up to the river and the dam, otherwise park the car and walk the way down (1,3 kilometer/20 minutes). Cross the river at the dam and go right after the river. After a few hundred meters you will see Cascada del Campillo at the other side of the river Tajo.

Cascada del Campillo is situated in a gorgeous national park: Parque Natural del Alto Tajo. Between Zaorejas and the left turn to the waterfall you also can walk to a magnificent viewpoint Mirador Alto Tajo where you have an overview on the canyon of the river Tajo.

A little bit further (east), also along the river Tajo, you will find another terrific waterfall Cascada de la Escaleruela.
