Cascade de Doran

Cascade de Doran is an unknown waterfall near Sallanches in the region Rhone Alpes/Haute Savoie, France.

Most people only pay attention on the more famous cascade de l’Arpenaz on the other side of the valley, but Cascade de Doran is also a nice waterfall located at the other side of the valley. Although Cascade de Doran is not as high as cascade de l’Arpenaz, with its 50 meters yet a very nice waterfall to see.

Cascade de Doran is visible from highway A40 and from the base of cascade de l’Arpenaz. It is also possible to drive up to the village of Outrediere, where you have a closer view on Cascade de Doran. I am not sure if the view is better…

From Sallanches drive to Le Cret and further on to Outrediere. Just before Outrediere there is a parking and a trail that leads you nearer to the waterfall.
