Cascade de la Fraiche

Cascade de la Fraiche is a nice waterfall near Pralognan-la-Vanoise in Parc national de la Vanoise, France.

From the village of Pralognan-la-Vanoise you can walk up to Cascade de la Fraiche in 20 minutes.

It is also possible to drive to the hamlet le Barrioz. Here take the exit to Chemin des Bieux where a small parking (gps 45.378565, 6.728051) is located near the river. From here it is a short walk to the bridge over the river Doron de Pralognan where you have a great view on the waterfall Cascade de la Fraiche.

The waterfall thunders down over appr 60 meters between two walls of stone. Late spring and early summer the waterfall gets very powerful and is one of the better waterfalls to visit in France.
