Cascade de la Lavey
Cascade de la Lavey is a nice waterfall near Saint-Christophe-en-Oisans along road D530 in Parc national des Écrins, France.
From Grenoble take the road to Briancon. Take the exit to Venosc and follow road D530 in the direction of La Bérarde. After La Ville you see a sign for a parking (gps 44.936157, 6.200050). Park your car here.
A small road (900 meter) is heading to an ancient bridge over the river Veneon: Pont Veneon. A perfect picture is waiting to be taken. With an ancient bridge in the foreground and cascade de la Lavey in the background. To take this picture, go left before the bridge.
Best time to visit cascade de la Lavey is early summer. Melted snow from the mountain Olan and other nearby mountains ends in Ruisseau de la Muande. At cascade de la Lavey the river drops down for a single drop of appr. 20 to 30 meter.
