Cascade du Casset is located along road D480: from road N85 at Saint Firmin take road D985a to La Chapelle-en-Valgaudémar. From here the road is called D480. Just after Chapelle-en-Valgaudémar (at the left side of the road) Cascade de Combefroide shows up. Drive further for another 3,5 kilometers until Cascade du Casset shows up at the left side of the road.
When visiting the waterfall Le Voile de la Mariée in Parc national de Ecrins (Haute Alpes in France) I suddenly saw Cascade du Casset along the roadside. Cascade du Casset is a powerful waterfall that drops down over appr. 150 meters in multiple stages.
Best time to visit Cascade du Casset is early summer or summer. Cascade du Casset is being fed by melted ice from several glaciers at an altitude of appr. 3.000 meter.
