Cascade de Mortain

Le Grande cascade de Mortain is one of the few waterfalls in the region of Normandie, France. The river La Cance cascades down over several stages with a total height of appr. 20 meters.

Cascade de Mortain is located between Mortain and Le Cailvaire (at the north). It is possible to park your car along the roadside of road D977 (gps 48.655817, -0.943456). From the roadside as well from Mortain a path runs directly to Le Grande cascade de Mortain. From the roadside the walk should take a few minutes and from Mortain 10-15 minutes.

Nearby you can also find le Petite Cascade (little waterfall), west of Mortain in the river La Rivière Dorée Ou le Cançon.
