Nowadays cascade des Jarrauds is a touristic attraction north of Saint Martin Chateau, not far from Bourganeuf in the region Limousin/Creuse, France. The surrounding at the waterfall is beautiful and a nice place for a walk. There is a signed trail of 1 kilometer that leads along the waterfall.
From Linoges take road D941 to Bourganeuf and there take the exit to Faux Mazuras and Saint-Martin-Château. Just for you reach the village there is a parking (gps 45.860502, 1.803216) at the bridge over the river Maulde.
From the parking it is a short walk to cascade des Jarrauds. Take the trail at the other side of the river (from the parking) and after the bridge go left following the river downstream to the mill. Within 5 minutes you are at the waterfall.
