Cascade des Baumes
Cascade des Baumes is a nice waterfall at Saint-Rome-de-Tarn (near Milau) in the region Aveyron, France.
South of the Milau bridge (on highway A75) take exit 46 to St Rome de Cernon (road D999). In the village take the exit to Saint Rome de Tarn (sharp turn). In the village go right and cross the river, go left after the bridge and after 1 kilometer you should see Cascade des Baumes at the other side of the river. There is a viewpoint (gps 44.052096, 2.894082) along the road where you can stop for a short while.
When in the region of Aveyron (France) visiting the village of Saint-Rome-de-Tarn is an option with of course a visit to Cascade des Baumes. The river Lévéjac drops down over appr. 25 meter (in a single fall) into the river Tarn. Nothing special but the scenery is very special and gorgeous to see.
It looks to me a perfect spot to swim under a waterfall. It should be possible to get to the river and swim to the waterfall. Nearby there is a camping site named “camping la cascade”, from here you can swim to the waterfall.
