Cascades d’Arifat

Cascade d’Arifat are several small cascades after each other in the river Ruisseau de Bardes, near Realmont in the region Midi Pyrenees/Tarn, France.

In Realmont take road D86 in the direction of Montredon. After 5 kilometers turn left onto the D11 towards Arifat. Just for the village of Arifat there is a castle named Arifat. Park the car here (gps 43.772645, 2.329952).

The trail starts at the castle and descents towards the river and waterfall. A nice viewpoint (after crossing the river) can be reached in less then 25 minutes (1.000 meter). The trail is signed and starts heading north>west. The roundtrip itself is 2 kilometer long and takes appr. 45 minutes.
