Cascata delle Pisse
Cascata delle Pisse is a tall waterfall near Alagna Valsesia in the region Piemonte, Italy. Cascata delle Pisse is located near Cascata del Sesia, one of the better known waterfalls in Italy and is a tourist attraction.
From highroad A26 you have to take the exit to Romagnano Sesia and proceed driving to Varallo and Alagna Valsesia. At the end of the road there is a very big parking (gps 45.865882, 7.936448) where you have to park your car.
From here you can follow the road along the river Sesia. First you will see Cascata dell’Acqua Bianca and shortly after you will reach Cascata del Sesia. The walk to a viewpoint on Cascata delle Pisse takes appr. 70 minutes (4.2 kilometer) and is located near alpe Bors/rifugio Crespi Calderini (alt 1.829 m). You can walk closer to the waterfall to Alpe la Balme if you want. You can find more information about the walk on Wikiloc.
It is also possible to buy a ticket for the bus (euro 2) that brings you a little bit further into the valley to a parking near Cascata dell’Acqua Bianca. I think outside the high season you can drive to this parking. From here you can walk further into the valley (for 2,5 km) to alpe Bors/rifugio Crespi Calderini (alt 1.829 m).
Cascata delle Pisse is left of the valley and is a river that comes down from Alpe la Balma. The source of the river Pisse lies at the glaciers at the several mountains with peaks over 4.000 meter, one of the highest mountain ranges in the Alps. Cascata delle Pisse is one of many waterfalls formed from streams of water that drain from nearby alpine peaks on the border with Switzerland.
