Cascata di Valle Febbraro

(Cascata della Valle Febbraro, Cascata del Borghe)

Cascata di Valle Febbraro or Cascata del Borghe is, as the name already indicates, a waterfall in the valley Valle Febbraro near Isola in the region Lombardia, Italy.

In 2014 I was heading to Valle Febbraro when it suddenly started to rain. I wasn’t planning a long walk through the rain so I left before seeing it.

Cascata di Valle Febbraro is a nice waterfall in a beautiful surrounding. Melted snow and melted ice from a small glacier at Pizzo Ferre feeds the waterfall Cascata di Valle Febbraro at Borghetto. Over 150 meter the river Torrente Valle di Borghetta drops down from the mountains.

From Isola (gps 46.443350, 9.331263) it is less then a 2 kilometer walk  following the river. You can reach Cascata di Valle Febbraro in appr. 30 minutes. Parking near the trailhead is a little bit a problem.

It is also possible to drive further up to Ca Raseri (there are small signs for Val Febbraro) and park your car here (gps 46.441068, 9.320227). Walk back to the house and take the road going right. Follow the river for 600 meter until you see Cascata di Valle Febbraro at the right side of the river.
