Cascate dell’Amendolea

Cascate dell’Amendolea is a waterfall with 4 tires of which the tallest tire is 15 meter.Cascate dell’Amendolea is located near Maesano/Lago Menta (south of Gambarie) in the region Calabria, Italy.
From Gambarie drive south over road SS183 to Bagaladi. Halfway there is a right turn to the dam Diga del Menta. From the road, near the dam, there is a trail heading south to Cascate dell’Amendolea. You can park your car along the road where possible (gps 38.123736, 15.902375).
To the first viewpoint it is 1,5-2km walk. There are signs along the track and it will take appr. 45-60 minutes to the base. There are multiple cascades and they look gorgeous. I think the volume of the river Fiumara di Amendea is quit low, but it is still a scenic site to visit.
