Fossabrekkur

Fossabrekkur is a green oases with many small waterfalls over a wide of 150 meter. The waterfalls are located next to road 26 near a more known waterfall Tröllkonuhlaup in the region Suðurland, Iceland.

Driving on road 1 (north of Hella) take the exit to Galtalaekur, onto road 26. From here it is a 46 kilometer drive to a small dust road (at the right side) that leads to Fossabrekkur (gps 64.077144, -19.760895). I think there is a small yellow sign pointing to the waterfall.

Fossabrekkur is located just after Tröllkonuhlaup, at the other side of road 26. There are many other great waterfall in the area. The one I like most is Thjofafoss or the Hjalparfoss.
