Kamieńczyka Wodospad
(Wodospad Kamienczyk)
Wodospad Kamieńczyka or Wodospad Kamienczyk is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Poland and is located southwest of Szklarska Poręba in the region Dolnośląskie.
From Szklarska Poręba drive west on road 3 until you (soon) cross a bridge and you see a big parking (gps 50.823166, 15.498635) with a blue board “Parking Wodospad Kamieńczyk”. You have to pay a small fee for the parking. From here it is a 1,5 kilometer walk (20 minutes) on a paved trail of small stones. I think you also have to pay a fee for renting a helmet to walk up to the bottom of the waterfall??? In summertime (when there is limited water in the river) it can be very busy.
At the end of the trail you will be rewarded with a 27 meter high waterfall sliding down from the rock wall. What I like most about this waterfall is the shape, the volume and the surrounding.
Parts of the film Narnia are filmed in Poland at Wodospad Kamieńczyka.
