Measach falls
(Falls of Measach)
The falls of Measach are one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Scotland located in a 1,5 kilometer long gorge called Corrieshalloch Gorge.
The falls of Measach plunges down over 46 meter in the river Droma with a quit respectable volume. There is a viewing platform and a suspension bridge right in front of this amazing waterfall.
Falls of Measach is derived from the Gaelic words “Easan na Miasaich”, meaning waterfalls of the place of platters.
Corrieshalloch Gorge is located south of Ullapool near Auchindrean (road A835). There are signs pointing to Corrieshalloch Gorge. From the car park it is a short walk and an entrance fee has to put in a box.
