Schragerfall

The Schragerfall is an official named waterfall near Kasern/St Jodok am Brenner in the region Tirol, Austria. The Schragerfall can be found behind Alpengasthof Kasern at the Kasern alm that can be reached by car. A nice place for lunch.

From the A13 go to road 182 and drive towards to Stafflach. Here you will take the turn to St Jodok am Brenner over road L229. Follow the road until you reach Kasern. On the right you will see a restaurant, Alpengasthof Kasern.

From Alpengasthof Kasern it is a 2 minute walk to the Schragerfall. Here you will have a great view on the Schragerfall and it is a nice place for a picnic or for children to play. It is also possible to take a shower under the waterfall.

In summertime it is a low volume waterfall but I think from the end of may until the beginning of july the volume is on its maximum.

The Schragerfall is a small waterfall with a single drop of 29 meters (measured). The river Schragerbach falls towards the west. Best time to visit the Schragerfall is in the afternoon.
