Wasserfall in der Hölle (also named Hölle cascata) is a great waterfall at the end of the Pflerschertal near Feuerstein/St Anton in the region Trentino – Alto Adige, Italy.
There are two ways to visit Wasserfall in der Hölle (Hölle cascata): there is a parking almost in front of the waterfall. At St Anton there is a brown sign pointing to “zur Hölle cascata”. You have to pay for the parking. When I wanted to visit Wasserfall in der Hölle it wasn’t that easy. The road to the parking was only for local traffic. Maybe in summertime it is easier to find the parking?
I ended up with parking my car at option number 2:the parking at Hotel Feuerstein called Parkplatz Pflerschtal (gps 46.966037, 11.337489) Although there where signs with “only for hotel guests, at the beginning of the road, this must be the parking to start from.
From here you can make a roundtrip over the wasserfallweg/sentiero cascata that leads along 3 waterfalls: Wasserfall in der Hölle (Hölle cascata), Gansörbach wasserfall (Sandesbach wasserfall) and another unnamed waterfall. The walk is about 4 kilometer long with an height difference of 240 meter. The walk is easy and also suitable for children. A roundtrip wil take appr. 1,5-2 hours.
End of April 2019, I wanted to make this walk but the night before it had snowed. I wasn’t totally sure I could make the walk so I decided not go to Wasserfall in der Hölle. Maybe next time when I am near.
