Czarnostawianska Siklawa

Czarnostawianska Siklawa is one of the highest waterfalls in Poland with a total height of 140 meter. Czarnostawianska Siklawa is located south of Lysa Polana, near lake Morskie Oko, in the region Małopolskie, Poland.

From Zakopane drive to Lysa Polana over road 961>960. You have to park your car at the big parking at Lysa Polana (Palenica Białczańska) because the last part of the road to Morskie Oko is prohibited for cars. It can be very crowded and you have to pay for the parking and for the entrance to the lake. The walk to lake Morskie Oko takes 1,5-2 hours (5 km over an asphalt road).

The trail to the waterfall starts at the hostel Morskie Oko, and heads along the lake to Czarnostawianska Siklawa. The waterfall can be reached in 40-50 minutes (from the hostel).

Czarnostawianska Siklawa is a series of small cascades falling from lake Czarny Staw pod Rysami into the bigger lake of Morskie Oko.

There are several other waterfalls in the area. I think Wielka Siklawa is one of the better known waterfalls in Poland.
