Cascata di Parcines or Partschinser wasserfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls of Alto Adige and is located near the village of Parcines, a few kilometers from the town of Merano .
The waterfall has a height of 98 meters, making it the highest of Waterfalls in Alto Adige.
The waterfalls is accessible from the town center of Parcines. It is also possible to drive northeast on “via cascata” to Salten and a little further to Cascata di Parcines (Partschinser wasserfall). The view from teh roadside is already amazing but you also can park the car near Gasthaus Birkenwald at a public parking (gps 46.692393, 11.054068). The trailhead lies over the bridge, just in front of the Gasthaus (gps 46.691808, 11.053162). From here it is a 5-10 minute walk to the bottom of Cascata di Parcines (Partschinser wasserfall). There is also a viewpoint a little up at the waterfall. You have to walk further upstream until you reach Gasthaus wasserfall. Here a trail starts to the middle part of Cascata di Parcines (Partschinser wasserfall).
The view on the waterfall is characterized by the majestic Monte Tess . Here lies the largest natural park of Alto Adige, Parco naturale Gruppo di Tessa, which features numerous hiking trails.
