Pissun, cascata del

(Cascatella dell’Assa)

Cascata del Pissun is a small but nice waterfall north of Brosso, not far from Torino, in the region Piedmont/Piemonte, Italy.

From Torino drive north to Pavone Canavese (E612) and there take the exit to Ivrea. After the exit go west and follow the signs “valchiusella” (ss565>sp64) and if you see signs Brosso, go right to Brosso. In Brosso you have to park the car.

From the city Hall walk north into the street via Roma. At the end there is a small map (a4) where the trail to Cascata del Pissun begins. From here it is a 10 minute walk to the base of cascata Pissun. The river Assa drops down over appr. 10-15 meter and ends in a nice pool. Sometimes the waterfall is also called Cascata dell’Assa.

Best time to visit Cascata del Pissun is early summer, in the morning or at noon.
