Cascade de Seynthenex is a gorgeous waterfall and perfect for a daytrip when you are in the area of Lac d’Annecy. We stayed at the southside of the Lac d’Annecy (at Doussard) years ago and Cascade de Seythenex was a 20 minute drive to the waterfalls.
You have to pay an entry fee (6-8 euro) but it is a visit worthwhile. A short walk takes you to along the gorge in a perfect scenery with beautiful vegetation and a gorgeous waterfall. It also possible to visit the caves of Seythenex.
Cascade de Seynthenex has two steps with a total height of 45 meters. The average flow of the river Saint Ruph is 2,81 m3/s but in springtime it is much higher. The pictures are taken in the month May.
